1/8 - PRAIRIE DOG PALS OPEN HOUSE Prairie dogs are a keystone species upon which 160 other animals, birds and plants depend for survival. Prairie dogs are unique to New Mexico and the Southwest. Albuquerque area prairie dogs often cling to barren and soon to be developed patches of land near highway slopes. They need your help to survive.
Meet others interested in helping Albuquerque’s prairie dogs. Enjoy refreshments, meet prairie dog caregivers and learn what’s involved in caring for these animals.

East Mountain Chapter - "East Mountain-Ears" meets the 1st Tuesday of each month in Moriarty at El Comedor de Anayas restaurant. Central Chapter meets 2nd Tuesday of the month in Los Lunas.
